The fastest growing insurance provider company in Canada is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join their amazing team!
Start remotely for the first 4-6 months, while overlapping Eastern Standard Time then relocate with VISA sponsorship!
Requisites:
- 5-7 years of overall development experience;
- Very comfortable being a generalist Full-Stack Engineer working closely with PHP, Symfony but focusing on the front-end with Angular and Typescript;
- Having a very technical and hands-on profile/experience;
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Experience with AWS, Linux and Ansible
- Symfony experience (or Laravel)
- Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache) and UI/UX design
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Work with other teams in the enterprise to implement security, performance, and scalability improvements to business-critical web applications
- Work as part of a development team focused on maintaining and adding features to web applications for brokers and insurance customer
- Mentor and guide less experienced developers as they learn how to build web apps
- Work with the VP of Technology and the Product Ownership team to clarify, plan and prioritize development projects.
- Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
