Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Hospitality Director of Human Resources, the HR Assistant/Recruiter will provide generalist support and collaborate closely with Department Managers in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, disability management, training & development, performance management and terminations

  • Manages and facilitates the full recruitment cycle and onboarding process.
  • Assist managers with the identification and coordination of external training needs
  • Process Canada-Alberta Job Grant applications.
  • Assist supervisors/managers with Return-To-Work accommodation or modified duties
  • Coordinate in- house training (i.e HR Orientations, sexual harassment, cultural competency, etc)
  • Responsible for submitting WCB forms on line and OH&S committee
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum three years of administrative or human resources experience.
  • Experience working in a highly confidential environment
  • Experience working on a First Nation community is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong computer proficiency (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
